Our approach at Humber Doucy Brewery is built on one simple belief: a love of Suffolk. We are based in the beautiful countryside at Bacton, and our taproom is just down the road at Finbows Yard. We support other local producers and use East Anglian ingredients as much as possible. Like a stick of Felixstowe rock – we have Suffolk imprinted on our very core 🌞
A Suffolk Summer
We love our county at any time of year, but there is something particularly special about a Suffolk summer. The fields surrounding our brewery fill with barley, which we use in our brews.
Our evenings are spent on the beach, where we found the inspiration for our summer season ale. Named after the special road leading to the beautiful Suffolk coast, Friday Street ale offers a light, refreshing body with a passionfruit and citrus hit from the Simcoe and Amarillo hops.
Our local communities come together with fetes, fairs, festivals and concerts. We challenge you to find anything better than spending a Sunday afternoon on a village green, whilst enjoying a Suffolk brew at a village fete.
How we can help your event
Before we know it, the weekends will be packed with festivals, fairs, and markets. Whether you are organising a festival in a field, a charity fundraiser, or a school fete, we are here to support you.
- We can stock and run a bar for you. A cold bottle of Humber Doucy is the perfect partner for a hot dog or a hog roast.
- We can provide barrels and bottles. If you prefer to run your own bar, we will handle the supply, and you can do the rest.
- Free delivery. We offer free delivery to Suffolk and parts of Norfolk and Essex, which is one less task for your busy organisers to worry about.
- Custom labels. We can even facilitate the design and printing of unique beer labels for the event (a great touch for corporate or large events). Imagine a PTA label, or a corporate sponsor label, to add that special touch.
- Social media support. We can help spread the word by advertising your event on our own social media channels and website.

Organising Your Own Event?
"We love to get to know our customers so we can provide the best service," explains John. "If you want to offer more than one ale, but are not sure what to choose, come and have a taste session with us at the brewery."
Humber Doucy Brewery is in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, where you can see the barley we use from the windows. We love sharing our passion for brewing and showing our clients the love and care that goes into our processes.
"We invite all event organisers and landlords to visit us for a tour and tasting session. This allows you to sample our range and put together a bespoke offer that perfectly matches your event. Whether you are looking for a light, refreshing ale for a summer fete or a more robust selection for a music festival, a quick chat over a brew at the brewery helps us ensure your guests have the very best experience," says Alan. "We guarantee you will have a great experience, and we get to share our love of our brewery."
